Ismail Haniyeh, the Leader of the Palestinian, has been Assassinated in Iran

Tehran: Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas, has been assassinated in Iran.

According to international media, Haniyeh was in Iran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Iranian president.

Hamas confirmed his assassination on their social media accounts, stating that he was targeted at his residence in Iran. The bodyguard lost his life in the same brutal onslaught. Haniyeh was the head of the political wing of Hamas, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has also confirmed his death.

Iranian media reports that he was targeted by Jewish agents, and an investigation into the attack has begun. Iranian officials have stated that the details of the assassination investigation will be released soon.

Ismail Haniyeh was born in 1962 in the Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City. His family suffered heavy losses in the Gaza war. Meanwhile, Hamas has reacted to the incident by demanding punishment for those involved in Haniyeh’s assassination, holding Israel responsible. They have warned that his death will escalate tensions further.

Following the news of Haniyeh’s assassination, intense clashes have been reported in the occupied Palestinian territories of Gaza and the West Bank.
