In a bloody incident that caused outrage across the board, die-hard influential locals of Mund Jamrao village in Sanghar district of Sindh allegedly chopped off one foot of a live camel just for straying into their cropland.
Despite a video of the incident camel news being posted and condemnation from all sides, the district police have only registered an FIR against unidentified persons, receiving allegations of partiality and least concern for the case.
Parts of the video of the incident camel news have now almost gone viral over social media, and the general public including many known journalists have come into the streets in anger and have started pressing for justice.

The lifeless animal was discovered at Morjhango Turn, according to videos obtained by a local news channel. The owner, Abdul Rashid, explained that the camel, which had been sick, went to graze one day back.

“I have around 40 to 45 female camels. While all of them returned after grazing last evening, she was left behind alone.

The incident marks the second distressing incident involving a camel in the past few weeks. Prior to Eidul Azha on June 14, a similar incident of animal cruelty was reported in Sanghar’s Mundh Jamrao area.
